Position Overview | The Director of Development is the primary liaison between the College and University Advancement and leads and coordinates all aspects of UA activity with fundraising as the goal. The Director develops and executes an annual and comprehensive work plan agreed upon by UA and the College. As part of this work plan, the Director maintains a major gift portfolio relevant to the programs (s)he represents as well as serves as a critical partner to other fundraisers whose prospects have an interest in funding priorities of the College. Portfolio work will consist of executing moves management strategies with donors including regular face-to-face or virtual meetings with some travel required. This position has the opportunity to work in a hybrid work arrangement, with time worked on campus as well as remotely. |

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and/or university. A minimum of five years of personal portfolio management and securing gifts at the $100,000 or above level is required, along with experience in strategic planning, volunteer management, and event coordination. Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience in messaging and branding, especially in the academic setting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage competing work expectations. The ability to work with colleagues across the University and establish and foster relationships that encourage a collaborative work environment.
