Job Description

The Quality Systems Coordinator (QSC) / Production Assistant. As QSC directs the quality program at the branch. This individual organizes and facilitates meetings, leads the Quality Council, and monitors and advances the quality improvement efforts of the branch. In this role, the QSC acts as the QMS "champion" and will be the driving force to keep everyone on track.The QSC is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality system at their plant, including training and all quality activities, by performing the following duties:

  • Directing the quality program at the branch, facilitating meetings, and leading Quality Council
  • Implementing and maintaining the quality system
  • Communicating, maintaining and generating all reports for the TPM Plant Board
  • Managing corrective and preventive actions and customer reports
  • Conducting internal ISO and compliance audits for the plant
  • Running SAP reports

As Production Assistant

This position will work in support of the Production Scheduler. As a Production Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing customer orders and determining acceptable customer requirements
  • Schedulingwarehouse shipments to plant
  • Communicatingto Customer Service and customers on delivery times to customers
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have an associate's degree from a 2-year college (preferred); or have related experience and/or training; or have an equivalent combination of both
  • Have the demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and manage projects
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have strong organization and time management skills
  • Have excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, and be a strong facilitator
  • Have some SAP experience

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and ISO culture
  • Knowledge of production processes
  • Previous experience in the ink industry
  • Experience as a trainer
