This position is based in our Appleton, WI location. The company was formally known as Water-Right and is a water softener and water treatment product assembling operation. Our brand names include Water-Right, A.O. Smith Specialized, and Evolve.

Primary Function

Coordinate activities in the manufacturing area by providing direction to staff to ensure compliance with production goals, quality, and safety processes as well as the reducing downtime and waste. This individual also coordinates workflow to ensure high performance standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for meeting production and quality goals while driving projects to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Coach team members to understand and meet the company objectives (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Morale).
  • Maintain a positive relationship between workers and company.
  • Work closely with Production Manager &Warehouse Managerto help maximize efficiency.
  • Determine root cause of problems and implement corrective actions with line leads to keep from repeating mistakes.
  • Support production needs by filling in where gaps may appear and looking ahead at material needs. Keep production moving.
  • Communicate with customer service to meet expediate needs, notify customers of any shortages or issues. Grouping of orders going to the same customer to reduce freight costs.
  • Follow up on daily production results, quality, and safety.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Suggest training methods and schedules for new employees.
  • Lead pre-shift production/safety/training talks.
  • Create a work environment which engages its members to achieve goals with the objectives of manufacturing.
  • Participate in projects for new product introduction with Product Manager, conveying information to line leads
  • Seek continuous improvement in manufacturing processes & promote idea generation from staff.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • 2-4 years of Supervisory/Leadership experience preferred
Education
High School Diploma or GED
